If you are huge fan of Ikea and you love 'DIY' (do it yourself) assembly that, you know, gives great satisfaction, you will be happy to know that the giant Swedish of low cost furniture has pledged to go 100% renewable by 2020.
It is a goal, joined the new corporate strategy, which supports other eco-friendly initiatives such as the effort to fight climate change, waste's reduction and energy saving. Today more than ever, Ikea and large companies need a secure, reliable and affordable supply.
The renewable energy, worthwhile and clean, seem to steal the show from the fossil fuels that are, of course, exhaustible and polluting resources. "Becoming 100 percent renewable is gearing ourselves up to be a successful business in the future" explains Joanna Yarrow, head of Sustainability in the UK and Ireland for Ikea.
