During the European Sustainable Development Week, the europeanwide initiative taking place from last May 30 to June 5, BNP Paribas Cardif decided to promote a series of initiatives for its employees part of the 'Let’s Protect Our Planet' program, aimed at promoting concrete eco-gestures to improve our environmental footprint.

BNP Paribas Cardif employees had the opportunity to sign up for free to a well-known car renting service to be used both for business and personal reasons, a valid alternative to the use of taxis or owned cars, in order to push down on the gas pedal on the importance of a flexible mobility, but also alternative and, above all, as close as possible to being eco-friendly.

In addition, each employee who has joined the car renting service with no activation fee received as a gift one of our trees. BNP Paribas Cardif supported our reforestation project in Haiti, planting over 300 trees including cassia, mango, moringa and cedar, that will compensating part of its CO2 emissions.

Employees involved in this initiative has been able to redeem their tree on our site and see it planted on their behalf in the BNP Paribas Cardif forest that, currently, is capable of capturing nearly 125,000 kg of CO2, the equivalent of 650 articulated lorries filled with carbon dioxide, for example.
