It looks like we have less excuses for being able to easily get in shape and live healthier lifestyles. Google is now launching an app named Google Fit which lays out your fitness activity in a simple, user-friendly way. The best part: it’s completely free to download!
The app detects your walking, running and cycling through sensors that Android phones already have built in them. This means that no extra accessories are needed! Your data information can also be manually entered instead of being automatically tracked and monitored.
Google Fit gives you detailed information on your performances and even recommends activity based on your level and the goals that you wish to meet. It is also compatible with fitness apps such as Strava, Withings, Runtastic and Runkeeper.
For those of you who currently use Android wear: the app is also compatible with the program and you can keep track of your activity online and on the device. Any data stored into the Android wear platform will be fed to Google Fit.
Now we can have a central place to keep all of our data together, instead of using multiple apps and devices.
