Working in a comfortable and welcoming location makes you more productive. That is why Google has submitted to the City Council of Mountain View, headquarters' company, the project by Bjarke Ingels and Thomas Heatherwick to redevelop and expand four areas already occupied by the society's offices, building a new innovative complex in North Bayshore.

The idea is simple: instead of concrete buildings will rise up a lightweight and removable structures which can be moved around easily according to investment areas and each site will be covered by large translucent canopies, controlling the climate inside yet letting in light and air. The installation, including trees, landscaping, cafes and lots of bike paths, is much more than just office space; it aims to involve the local community by offering business opportunities and to break down the barriers between nature and urbanization.

Finally, Google with this initiative is committed to save energy in North Bayshore with renewable energy.
