Green buildings are the best friends of the environment and also of the workers. According to a report published in 2014 by the World Green Building Council, indeed, energy saving eco-sustainable buildings protect nature and help to improve the health and welfare of workers, increasing their productivity.

But which are the factors directly related to employee happiness? The air quality inside the structure: if it is improved by maintaining low concentrations of pollutants and encouraging adequate indoor ventilation, guarantees an increase in productivity up to 11%. In addition to this, the need of a high thermal comfort, the correct lighting (preferring, of course, the natural one), the limitation of the noise in the offices, the design of adequate internal to the type of work and the amount of natural materials used. To achieve all this, however, users should be involved in the planning of a building from the very beginning: it is important to know the different demands and needs of workers. Feeling good while working leads an increase in productivity and, then, a greater customer satisfaction.
