H&M Global Change Award: Let’s Create a Fashion Green Economy

They told me that the new trend in fashion is asking “What is the new green?” and not “What is the new black?” as we did in the past. This is because ‘Green is the new black’, I was told.

I said: “OK: let’s write a post about this”. But then I read about this new project by H&M Conscious Foundation which is asking to the fashion designers around the globe “What innovative ideas can close the loop?”.

The Global Change Award – this is the name of the initiative launched last August 25th - is looking for fashion ideas that will ensure production but also protect the earth’s natural resources.

Five winners, chosen by an expert jury, will share a grant of €1 million and get access to a tailor-made innovation accelerator created in collaboration with Accenture and KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

The award cerimony is scheduled for next February 2016, the deadline to present the projects is October 31st and further information on the Global Change Award can be found here www.globalchangeaward.com.
