Original Unverpackt: a no packaging project

Let’s imagine a yogurt without its jar, shampoo without its bottle and solid foods, which usually require their packaging, without containers. This is not a dream because, in Berlin, there is now 'Original Unverpackt', the first supermarket which sells food exclusively without packaging. Here you will find products contained in large dispensers, sold in liters or weight, and customers must bring their containers directly from home.

Buying bulk product has doublel advantage: you can dose carefully the necessary food's amount to avoid waste and you reduce the number of packaging with the consequent decrease of the cost of the products. In this shop you won’t find the major brands but only regional and biological food. The project, designed by Sara Wolf and Milena Glimbovski, was made possible thanks to crowdfunding, and it was born because of the importance of sustainability and waste reducing.
