When carpooling reduces CO2 emissions

In Turin (Italy) a smart startup invented and launched Jojob, a business carpooling service that facilitates travels. Employees working for the same or neighboring company can share their cars from house to their workplace using an innovative service that certifies both the travel and the environmental savings. Workers' benefits are concrete cost savings, time and stress reduction (travelling uncomfortably is really annoying), as well as having an alternative to public transport in case of strikes or delays and, finally, possible corporate benefits regarding the ecological commitment. At the same time, companies adopting a fair and sustainable solution for mobility obtain environmental, energy and CSR certifications.

In the last, the carpooling platform has provided an alternative transport for more than 50,000 employees in Italy, involving more than 50 companies and contributing to the environment respect (in the last quarter 30 tons of CO2 have been spared). Among the most active and virtuous companies, Jojob reports Findomestic, YOOX Group, Unicoop Firenze, Amazon and Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia.

The service is currently expanding and in the next few months even Brembo, BNP Paribas and Zurich will work to adopt this sustainable mobility opportunity.
