At Treedom, we often say that behind every tree there’s a story. But it’s not just a feel-good tale — it’s also a story told through numbers, data, and tangible change.
That’s why we’re proud to announce the beginning of a new chapter: a partnership between Treedom and Regg3, a company specialized in measuring social, economic, and environmental impact.
Regg3 is a start-up that has developed a robust methodology to assess the real-world outcomes of initiatives like ours. Their protocol, certified by RINA — one of Italy’s leading independent verification bodies — sets a high standard for accountability and transparency.
For us, this marks a meaningful step forward in a direction we care deeply about: delivering measurable impact, grounded in reliable data.
Anyone familiar with Treedom knows that we've long been committed to generating positive change — for the planet and for people. Over the years, we've worked with universities, research institutions, and subject-matter experts to better understand and communicate the results of our work.
But this new phase — and we say this with conviction — is something different.
Regg3’s approach begins with a fundamental question: What does a territory truly need?
Using publicly available data from trusted international sources such as FAO, the World Bank, and others, Regg3 analyzes the social, economic, and environmental gaps in the countries where we operate — from food insecurity and lack of access to education, to biodiversity loss and limited income opportunities.
From these insights, they build a data-driven “needs map” for each country, based on objective, measurable thresholds. Once the gaps are identified, Regg3 helps us assess how — and to what extent — our projects contribute to closing them.
It’s an ambitious undertaking, combining data, science, and on-the-ground realities. And it enables us to go beyond simply stating that a tree was planted — to explaining how that tree (and many others) is making a real difference in the lives of the people who live there.
It’s important to be clear: we’re at the beginning of this journey. The first analysis results are expected this summer, and we know there’s still much work ahead to refine and certify the data behind our projects.
But rather than seeing this as a challenge, we see it as a powerful opportunity.
Innovation is in our DNA. And sometimes, innovation means stepping up to the harder tasks — like improving data collection systems and verifying the real impact of our work with increasing precision.
We’re doing this not out of obligation, but out of conviction: because we want every tree we plant to grow not just in the soil, but also in the trust of those who believe in us.
Together with Regg3, we’re building a system that will make the impact of our projects more visible, measurable, and transparent. A system grounded not only in good intentions, but in solid data, recognized protocols, and deep analysis.
We believe this will make our work even more meaningful, more understandable, and more effective at driving real change.
This is just the first step on a long but necessary journey.
And as with any journey worth taking, the most exciting part is what lies ahead.
