Companies today recognise the need to identify and strive for strong values that their customers can relate to. Fashion brands are no exception: here are some brands that have chosen to plant trees with Treedom to strengthen their environmental commitment.

Ferragamo

Tradition and sustainability can go hand in hand!

Salvatore Ferragamo has demonstrated this by planting a tree for each pair of Rainbow Future shoes, Ferragamo’s first totally sustainable footwear.

The Rainbow sandal, designed in 1938 for actress Judy Garland, has helped plant new orange trees in Sicily using environmentally friendly methods.

A project that's 100% made in Italy, from the shoes to the trees!

PINKO

This is not a T-shirt!

Pinko produced 10,000 organic cotton T-shirts, each paired with a fruit tree planted in an agroforestry project in Kenya.

And to tell the story of these very special shirts, Pinko launched a digital campaign with the hashtag #StartWithATree. On Instagram, VIPs and influencers, as well as many users who’d fallen in love with the project, shared a photo of their purchase and their positive message.

Intimissimi

What better way to launch a sustainable collection than by planting trees?

Intimissimi has chosen only yarns with a low environmental impact for its first Green Collection, giving away a tree with every purchase made in store or online.

48,800 trees have been planted in the Intimissimi Forest in Italy, Tanzania, Cameroon, Kenya, Ecuador and Madagascar. The Intimissimi community has shared its experiences using the hashtag #intimissimigoesgreen, along with influencers such as Irina Shayk, Elisabetta Canalis, Paola Turani, Estetista Cinica and Chiara Ferragni.

Timberland

Sometimes you have to think big.

Like Timberland, whose “Plant the Change” campaign is committed to planting 50 million trees by 2025.

Alongside Treedom, it has created the “Timberland Forest” in Ghana, in an area that is part of the Great Green Wall project: a barrier of trees 8,000 km long that will span the whole of Africa, to combat climate change and drought.

Timberland customers received one of the 26,760 trees planted in Ghana as a gift, along with a personalised eco-gadget.
