This is the motto of SDG Action Manager, a **free operational tool** that allows all types of companies to **measure the impact** of their sustainability performance. Launched in 2020 by the United Nations Global Compact and B Lab, SDG Action Manager integrates B Lab’s B Impact Assessment, the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, and the Sustainable Development Goals. It’s a simple and intuitive **self-assessment tool** (it’s no coincidence that over 16,000 companies use it worldwide) which lets you: ## Understand where to start The Sustainable Development Goals have a mission worthy of superheroes: to build a better world for all. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed. That’s why it is important to understand **which goals are closest to your company’s mission**, to start acting from what you know best. ![84ACF844-8D9F-41CC-89A3-D13731ADDB30](https://blog.treedom.net/hs-fs/hubfs/84ACF844-8D9F-41CC-89A3-D13731ADDB30.jpeg?width=1264&name=84ACF844-8D9F-41CC-89A3-D13731ADDB30.jpeg) ## Have a clear view of your impact You know, the things right in front of our eyes are the most difficult to see. Analyse your **current situation** (from the production chain to company policies up to your business model) to understand where you can improve.![SDGs action manager baseline](https://blog.treedom.net/hs-fs/hubfs/AE3BE41A-BF48-4B8A-9D17-470584A39D41.jpeg?width=1264&name=AE3BE41A-BF48-4B8A-9D17-470584A39D41.jpeg) ## Set goals and monitor improvements *“Without data, you’re just another person with an opinion,*” said William Edwards Deming, an American professor who devoted his career to studying how to improve the quality of business processes. The basic point? Give yourself clear goals, ideally not too many, and decide which tools to use to measure the results. And remember! If, after measuring your company’s performance, you’ve achieved a score of at least 80 points out of 200, you can validate your score with the certification body B Lab and sign the B Corp Declaration of Interdependence. Treedom is a B Corp since 2014, the network of companies that are committed to having a positive impact on the environment and people.
